Orthodontics Services

Look at your smile in a mirror or your child’s smile. If you see the warning signs of a bad bite, we can help. Tooth alignment can be changed at any age if your gums and bone structure are healthy. We offer a variety of treatments that are designed for different age groups. Our doctor and staff work very hard to help you achieve that goal. We want your experience with our practice to be rewarding and pleasant. We offer treatment plans for traditional metal braces, invisible ceramic braces and invisalign treatment to fit your individual need.

At your initial consultation

During your first visit to our office, the doctor will make an evaluation to determine if braces or other types of orthodontic treatment are needed. Your estimated treatment time and cost will also be discussed. When you agree to start treatment in our office, we will then schedule an appointment, or it can be done at the same time if time is permitted.

Records Appointment

We will take a complete set of diagnostic records, which typically includes study models of the teeth, photos of patient’s face and teeth, and X-rays. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as teeth move under orthodontic care. Afterwards, patients are promptly scheduled for an appliance insertion appointment.

Appliance Insertion

Insertion of orthodontic appliances (braces, expander, etc.) can take about 30-60 minutes. There is minimal discomfort associated with the insertion and no local anesthesia is needed. Afterwards, patients will watch a short video illustrating precautions and home care methods for wearing braces. A special home care kit and instructions will also be given to the patient to ensure good oral hygiene during the treatment period.

Regular Appointments

After appliance insertion, patients are usually seen at regular intervals 4-6 weeks apart for adjustments. Such visits typically take 15-30 minutes.

Fees
The cost of treatment can vary depending on the severity of the case, appliance types, and treatment modalities. You will have the opportunity to discuss the fees and payment options during you initial consultation visit. By arranging various types of payment plans and financing, we try to make treatment affordable, while maintaining the highest level of service standards and professional care to our patients.

Insurances
Nowadays, many dental insurance plans include orthodontic benefits. We accept most major dental insurances, including Metlife, Aetna, Delta Dental, Cigna, Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Guardian, United Healthcare, Dentemax, Assurant, Great West, United Concordia, and many other types of dental PPO plans. We’ll be glad to verify your insurance’s orthodontic benefits for you before treatment starts.
Our office will handle all the paperwork and process insurance claims for you. Because most insurance will only cover a portion of the total orthodontic fee, patients will be responsible for the balance not covered by insurance.
